Yahoo moving organic search results to Bing

Yahoo is now ready to move it's organic search results to Microsoft search enging Bing.

This transition will start on 3rd August for the UK, France, Italy, Germany and Spain

Although no action is required from website owners as part of the transition Yahoo have suggested the following if organic search is important as a source of traffic to your website.

• Compare organic search results in both Yahoo and Bing for the keywords and keyphrases that are important to your website to determine and impact in traffic.
• Modify paid search campaigns to compensate for changes in organic search traffic.
• Optimise your site for the Bing Crawler to make sure your site is listed in both Yahoo and Bing organic search results

Yahoo is not moving it's paid search results for the time being and customers should continue to manage their Yahoo paid search campaigns as normal.
